Bahrain Chamber signs MoU with China Council to boost trade and collaboration

The Bahrain Chamber signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) yesterday, enhancing their partnership and advancing mutual interests.
First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi, signed the agreement during a meeting with a Chinese delegation led by Vice Chairman of CCPIT-Jiangsu, Cong Sufeng, at the chamber’s headquarters.
Najibi emphasized the importance of fostering the private sectors and economies of both Bahrain and China through enhanced collaboration and joint ventures aimed at expanding trade activities.
Despite bilateral trade surpassing $2 billion in 2023, he highlighted the significant future opportunities to further enrich commercial exchanges.
He stated that the deal reaffirms Bahrain’s pivotal role as the gateway to the Gulf region, serving as a hub for financial technology and investment opportunities in sectors such as technology, renewable energy, tourism, and manufacturing.
Cong Sufeng expressed great satisfaction with the signing of the MoU, describing it as a pivotal framework for aligning efforts to advance bilateral relations and foster partnerships benefiting both sides.
He emphasized the strong interest of the Bahraini business community in the Chinese market and highlighted CCPIT’s eagerness to strengthen communication with the Bahrain Chamber.
