Bapco Refining to Launch Tender for Essential Tank Sealing System

Bapco Refining is set to launch a public tender on 22 July, via the Tender Board, for the supply of complete primary and secondary floating roof seals for tank 56D935 in Sitra. This initiative aims to prevent product loss and mitigate air pollution.

The company has noted that the primary and secondary roof sealing system offered in this tender is essential not only for preventing product loss and reducing air pollution but also for ensuring efficient tank operations. The tender fee is 15 dinars for a contract duration of one year, as detailed on the council’s website.

Qualified participants can purchase the tender documents digitally through the Board’s digital tender system.

The tender follows adverse weather conditions and heavy rainfall in Bahrain earlier this year, which caused damage to the tank and resulted in a leak. However, the relevant authorities promptly and professionally addressed the issue, successfully controlling the situation.

Bapco Refining swiftly managed to control and safely transfer the contents of the damaged tank to another tank, thereby ending the state of emergency within the company and restoring normal operations with the cooperation and support of all involved parties.
