Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has formed a strategic partnership agreement with the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) to host the Bahrain Toy Festival, the first and largest of its kind. As part of Bahrain Summer 2024, the event will take place for a month at Exhibition World Bahrain, alongside prominent toy brands and a line-up of activities and entertainment.

Her Excellency Sarah Buheji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, commended NBB’s sponsorship of this unique tourist event, as well as its support towards national efforts to develop the national economy and diversify sources of income by increasing the tourism sector’s contribution to the Kingdom’s GDP. The Bank’s support will also enable the development of innovative events for citizens, residents, tourists, and visitors from around the region and the world.

Furthermore, Ms. Sarah Buheji emphasised that the Bank has remained at the forefront of contributing to the festival, with many other local companies expected to follow suit for the opportunity to promote their products and services on a wider scale during the event. BTEA seeks to foster close partnerships with private sector organisations, enabling the Authority to

continuously upgrade its entertainment events and elevate the Kingdom’s standing as a notable tourist attraction.

Her Excellency also stated that the Bahrain Toy Festival will be attended by members of the public who will enjoy the various activities, events and entertainment programs held during the festival for visitors of all ages. Furthermore, the Authority anticipates more support from various organisations, alongside contributions towards positioning the Kingdom as a favoured destination and attracting more tourists to Bahrain.

On his end, Usman Ahmed, NBB Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed the Bank’s pride in showcasing its support for the Bahrain Toy Festival, the first and largest event of its kind. This contribution underscores NBB’s strategy to embed CSR initiatives across all community segments, in addition to bolstering its national role towards supporting the Kingdom’s ongoing development journey. He also stressed the Bank’s commitment to promote Bahrain’s leading tourism sector through a variety of initiatives that will have a significant impact in boosting the national economy and elevating trade and tourism throughout the Kingdom as a whole.
