BENEFIT, the Kingdom's innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, and the University of Bahrain (UOB), Bahrain's national university celebrated talent and creativity during the ‘Art Piece Competition’ final ceremony held at the university’s campus. The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests including UOB’s president Dr. Fuad Alansari, its Dean, Dr. Haifa Al Khalifa, BENEFIT’s Chief Executive, Abdulwahed AlJanahi, and its Deputy Chief Executive, Yousif AlNefaiei.

The ‘Art Piece Competition’ is a unique initiative aimed at fostering creativity and innovation among Bahraini students pursuing degrees in Architecture, Art, and Design. The purpose of this contest was to provide students with an opportunity to explore the dynamic convergence of art and technology, and make a meaningful contribution to the ever-changing landscape of financial services.

Having gone through a rigorous selection process, four shortlisted groups presented their unique art piece designs to an esteemed panel of judges. The judging panel featured: Adel Alkooheji - Head of Digital Marketing and Online Media in BENEFIT, Lulwa Sami - Communications & Marketing Directorate, in Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), Mohamed Jawad owner of Fekra Design Studio, and Hasan Janahi owner of Moonlight Gallery.

Jawaher Hejres and Walaa Sultan from University of Bahrain were chosen for exceptional creativity and design. In recognition of their winning design, BENEFIT awarded the winning team a prize of 1,000 BHD, and the honour of seeing their design implemented and permanently displayed at the company’s headquarters.

The winning art piece “Beyond Boundaries Towards the Future”, represents BENEFIT’s core values and the commitment to simplicity, creativity, responsibility, and empowerment. The art piece represents those values as it features a simple rectangle wrapped with curved lines. The rectangle symbolizes reality and boundaries, while the curved lines surrounding it represent the future and the concept of freedom. The art piece captures the essence of The BENEFIT Company’s commitment to pushing beyond limitations and embracing the possibilities of tomorrow.

This initiative is part of BENEFIT Fintech Award series, which reflects BENEFIT’s commitment to supporting local talent and fostering a culture of innovation in the Kingdom. Through launching impactful initiatives and competitions, BENEFIT empowers local talent to actively participate in shaping the Kingdom's future.
