4th NHRA Conference & Exhibition to Kick Off Next October

The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has announced the organization of its fourth annual conference and exhibition, which will take place from October 17th to 19th, 2024. The conference will be organized by BDA Center for medical conferences and exhibitions.

The conference will be held under the theme "Bahrain: A Destination for Medical Tourism." Spanning over 24 accredited hours, its primary objective is to enhance Bahrain's position as a medical tourism destination. The event will feature discussions on the latest developments and technologies in the field of medicine and treatment, showcase best global practices in medical tourism, and provide a platform for doctors, experts, and investors to connect. Additionally, it aims to promote the excellent medical services offered by Bahrain's healthcare sector.

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, CEO of NHRA, highlighted that the Kingdom of Bahrain holds a distinguished strategic position and offers high-quality healthcare services. He expressed confidence that the authority's annual conference would provide a platform for participants to exchange experiences and knowledge, while also elevating Bahrain's status in the field of medical tourism.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the conference serves as a fresh impetus for the authority to continue its leading role in attracting medical professionals, participating in discussions on the development of medical and scientific policies related to the healthcare sector, and integrating them with medical tourism. These efforts will serve the conference's primary objectives and enhance the quality of healthcare services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Al Ansari further stated that the conference will address topics related to medical tourism and its licensing, fostering collaboration between the tourism and healthcare sectors, availability of medical devices and facilities, as well as subjects concerning medical accreditation certificates and updates to medical regulations. Additionally, it will cover procedures and requirements for licensing healthcare facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the medical responsibility within healthcare institutions.

The conference is expected to witness broad participation from various stakeholders in the medical tourism sector. This includes hospitals and medical centers, health insurance companies, pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies, international travel and tourism agencies, as well as professional medical associations. Dr. Al Ansari highlighted the interest and eagerness shown by companies related to the healthcare sector in participating in this conference.
