Indian Ladies Association Hosts Water Drive for 250 Workers, Highlights Summer Safety and Education in Manama

The Indian Ladies Association, continuing with their Summer Awareness Programme, once again carried out a Water Drive on 10th August, 2024 at an Under-Construction Site in Manama. 250 workers gathered at 8 AM and the event opened with a customary welcome address by Hon. President Ms. Kiran Mangle expressing appreciation and thanks for the hard work they put in. Advised on staying safe, hydrated & healthy during the summer months. Also made them aware of the Speak Easy English classes offered by ILA which the workers can avail.
Grateful to our guests Dr. Reeta Singh, Consultant, Anesthesia & Intensive Care at Awali Hospital and Ms. Raji Unnikrishnan, a prominent Journalist whose insights were well received by the workers. Dr. Reeta Singh explained in detail the importance of maintaining good health and being cautious during the summer months. Ms. Raji Unnikrishnan spoke about the need to keep the law of the land, awareness of LMRA rules & regulations and LMRA's WORKING TOGETHER initiative for the protection and safety of all workers here in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The event concluded with the distribution of a tray of assorted fruits apple, orange, banana, grapes, a bottled water and laban to the workers.
