ASRY Receives Lamea Junior Participants

The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) recently hosted a group of Lamea Junior Program participants on a visit to the company’s facilities that introduced ASRY activities, operations, development stages and competitive capabilities.
The visit included several introductory sessionsaimed at highlighting a variety of professional specialtiesas well as sharing the inspiring success stories of ASRY national competencies.
The program was concluded with a tour of ASRY’s facilities and repair docks.
The visit was organized to introduce the participants to the diverse career pathways offered by the company and to expand their understanding of the crucial role of education in empowering future workforce and creating a generation capable of shaping the future of the nation.
Ms. Fatema Al Majed, ASRY Corporate Communications Manager, commented: “The visit comes in line with ASRY’s continues endeavor to provide the possible means to support, guide, and prepare the youth to serve the public interest and society.” “The young participants were introduced to the key role ASRY plays in the national development as a global maritime pioneer, with distinguished competencies, advanced repair docks & workshops and qualified national cadres” she added.
It is worth noting that Lamea Junior is a miniature version of the national project Lamea, designed specifically for the younger participants - for the age group (12-15) -, to undergo different training activities that integrate leadership and life skills.
