Zain Bahrain, the leading telecom provider in the Kingdom, welcomes two new batches of trainees as part of its annual summer internship under the Zain Youth Empowerment program. The program offers young Bahraini talent the opportunity to gain work experience in various departments aligned with their education and areas of interest. This year, the telco welcomed 34 new trainees in different departments including customer care, wholesale, HR and more.

As part of the internship program, the trainees visited the Bahrain Mobility International Center, where they interacted with and gifted members of the community. The second batch of trainees participated in the "Find Us at The Park" project, led by Budaiya-Hub, measuring park temperatures across Bahrain to support the UN’s climate action goals (SDG 13), including visits to Malkiya Beach and Karzakan Forest. These activities reflect Zain Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the wider community through initiatives with positive social and environmental impact.

Fatima Haider, Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability, Inclusivity, and Culture at Zain Bahrain, " Zain Bahrain is committed to providing training opportunities that go beyond traditional on the job training. We believe in creating a purposeful social and environmental experience that aligns with the UN’s sustainability goals (SDGs), which reflects Zain Bahrain’s corporate sustainability strategy and values. This internship program was carefully designed to develop employability skills by exposing the trainees to various fields and fully integrating them within Zain Bahrain’s culture.”

Zain Youth Empowerment program is designed to equip and support the youth with the skills and knowledge to succeed in their career paths. The internship program aligns with Zain Bahrain’s continued efforts focused on corporate sustainability and social responsibility. The telco aims to bridge the gap between academics and the professional world to upskill local talent.
