Last year proved to be a milestone for our undergraduate students at the College of Administrative Sciences in Applied Science University, who showcased exceptional talent and dedication across various academic pursuits.
From engaging in rigorous case studies to presenting ground-breaking research, students demonstrated their commitment to excellence and innovation. Among others, students tackled real-world case studies that required them to identify critical issues, propose viable solutions, and engage in vigorous debates.
This dynamic approach not only honed their analytical skills but also encouraged them to support their arguments with relevant literature, preparing them for ethical decision-making in their future careers.
Collaboration remained a cornerstone of the learning experience, as students across multiple programs participated in group projects designed to enhance leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
Regardless of the instructional format, these projects fostered an environment of cooperation, allowing students to learn from one another and develop essential skills for the workplace.
For instance, students in Business Administration applied the Climate Management Standard ISO 14001 to local Bahraini companies.
Their group projects culminated in presentations attended by industry representatives, including Zoning Design, a private firm specializing in urban design.
This initiative demonstrated the practical application of academic knowledge to address local business challenges. In addition, six students in Management Information Systems earned Microsoft Power BI certificates and five who achieved Microsoft Azure certification.
These credentials not only enhance their technical skills but also make them competitive in the job market. Moreover, and in a testament to their academic rigor, several students following their Master degrees in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, and Accounting and Finance, in collaboration with their supervisors, submitted manuscripts based on master theses to peer-reviewed journals within the fields of accounting, finance, business administration, and human resource management.
This initiative underscores the high standards of research being produced by our students. Finally, faculty and students also made their mark on an international stage by presenting a joint research paper titled “The Role of Green Human Resource Management Practices in Achieving Sustainable Development in the Health Sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain” at the International Student Conference on Applied Sciences.
This research highlights the intersection of sustainable practices and human resource management, aligning with global trends.
The remarkable achievements of college students last year reflect their hard work, creativity, and commitment to making a positive impact. As they prepare to enter the workforce, these accomplishments will undoubtedly serve as a strong foundation for their future endeavours. The institution is proud to support such ambitious and talented individuals, and we eagerly anticipate their continued success.
