Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School (BIS) launched its dedicated website for the inaugural edition of Bhavans-Bahrain Model United Nations (MUN), themed “The Phoenix Effect.” This exciting initiative symbolizes resilience and rebirth, drawing inspiration from the mythical phoenix that rises from its ashes. The MUN aims to encourage delegates to explore critical themes of renewal, recovery, and progress in global affairs.
The website, designed and developed by a dedicated team of BIS students, serves as a comprehensive platform for delegates, educators, and the community to access vital information about the event, including committee details, registration procedures, and resources. It embodies the spirit of collaboration and innovation that BIS advocates.
“The theme, ‘The Phoenix Effect,’ not only reflects the challenges faced by our global society but also emphasizes the hope and change that can arise from adversity,” said BIS Director Mr. Himanshu Verma. “We are thrilled to see our students take the initiative to create this platform, showcasing their talent and commitment to meaningful dialogue.” stated BIS Director Mrs. Ritu Verma.
Principal Mr. Saji Jacob added ‘Bhavans MUN will provide a unique opportunity for students to engage in extensive discussions on pressing international issues, fostering critical thinking, diplomacy, and leadership skills. Participants will be encouraged to embody the principles of hope and transformation as they navigate complex global challenges.’
BIS fraternity congratulated the BMUN team for their hard work and dedication in bringing this project to fruition. Their efforts exemplify the values of teamwork and innovation that Bahrain Indian School stands for.
BIS will be hosting first ever Inter School Model United Nations on 8th and 9th November’24.
All interested delegates and schools are invited to visit the newly launched website at www.bmunbh.com for more information and to register for this transformative event.
