Fierce competition for BTEA’s New Year’s eve event contract

In its latest session, The Tender Board opened bids for 12 tenders, receiving a total of 70 submissions. Among them, Bapco’s tender for the supply of oil and gas well pipes drew 14 offers, with the lowest standing at BHD 3.2 million.
For the New Year’s Eve 2025 event, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has received bids from three companies.
PICO International submitted the lowest offer of BHD 595,980, with TARTEEB Events and Marketing bidding BHD 709,500, and Al Wasmiya Tent House offering BHD 1.27 million.
Three firms are competing to provide maintenance services for the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications headquarters.
The lowest offer came from Utility Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Services at BHD 249,249. Jalal Ionics Co. W.L.L. submitted the lowest bid, BHD 52,257, to supply bottled water and dispensers to the Electricity and Water Authority.
Bapco Refining opened two tenders: the first for hydrogen cleaning services, with a low bid of BHD 3.1 million, and the second for precision instrument services, with the lowest at BHD 2.1 million.
Tamkeen is seeking an executive partner to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises with digital transformation, receiving seven bids, the lowest at BHD 435,000.
The Ministry of Works has put forward two tenders, one for consultancy on the re-operation of the B1 sewage pumping station (lowest bid: BHD 202,000) and another for rehabilitating five heritage buildings (lowest bid: BHD 48,000).
The Ministry of Youth Affairs opened a tender to equip the Network of Hope 2024 Exhibition, with the lowest bid at BHD 44,000.
A tender for maintaining substations in Salman City, submitted by the Ministry of Housing, received two offers, the lowest being BHD 37,000.
Finally, Edamah is looking to install LED advertising screens at its properties, with the lowest bid coming in at BHD 89,000.
