The Global Organisation of People of Indian origin (GOPIO) Bahrain in collaboration with New Millennium School (NMS), conducted a cybersecurity awareness event for students of 9th - 12th grade, aiming at educating students on the importance of online safety and digital hygiene.

The event featured speaker Roshan George from Hilal Technology, who provided valuable insights and practical tips for staying safe in the digital landscape. As cyber threats and online scams become more prevalent, it is essential for students to understand the potential risks they may face online.
The seminar addressed critical topics such as password protection, phishing scams, and social media safety, equipping students with actionable advice to protect their personal information and privacy.
“AskGopio” was introduced to the students as an intelligent and free AI search engine designed by GOPIO Bahrain whereby it can be used to assist in querying AI and receiving fast, accurate, and reliable answers while ensuring the security of your information). “Ask Gopio” provides teachers and students a platform where they can ask questions, seek guidance, and connect with experts in various fields.
“We believe that educating our students about cybersecurity is vital in today’s digital era,” stated Arun Kumar Sharma, Principal of NMS. Present at the event were NMS Principal Arun Kumar Sharma, GOPIO Bahrain President Tina Mathew, VP Samuel Paul, Asst GS Sunita David and PR Sec Ameena Rahman along with other school officials.
