Zain Bahrain honoured with sustainability in HR Award

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecom provider in the Kingdom, said it has been awarded the “Sustainability in HR Award” at the HRM Summit Awards 2024, which took place on October 8.
This recognition is a testament to Zain Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable practices and the wellbeing of both its employees and the wider community.
Throughout 2024, Zain Bahrain launched and supported several impactful initiatives that contributed to its success in winning this award.
These initiatives collectively highlight telco’s leadership in sustainability, accessibility, and digital transformation. One of Zain Bahrain’s key initiatives in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Supreme Council for Environment is the National E-Waste Competition, where over 8 tons of e-waste were collected by students from more than 20 schools.
The company’s pioneering initiative, “Natawasul,” the first of its kind in the Kingdom, is a visual health service using sign language at primary healthcare centers which aims to support the deaf community by enhancing communication with healthcare staff.
This initiative reflects Zain Bahrain’s strategy for diversity and inclusion which is a core aspect of its ESG standards.
