AMH charity golf tournament returns

American Mission Hospital has announced that the 25th Annual Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament, set to take place from November 14th to 16th. The event will kick off on November 14th at 12pm.
Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, this signature event will unfold at His Majesty’s exclusive golf course in Saffriya, offering a unique opportunity for golf enthusiasts to showcase their skills.
AMH’s Corporate CEO/Chief Medical Officer Dr. George Cheriyan said, “First and foremost I would like to thank His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has so kindly permitted the tournament to be held on His private golf course in Saffriya once again. Golfers wait eagerly every year to get a chance to play on this challenging course.”
The tournament is designed as a handicapped team event and will follow the Florida format, in which all players play their shot from the position determined to be the best ball.
All players in a foursome team will have an equal opportunity to contribute to the overall outcome and score of the team.
Teams will be divided into two flights – Championship and Premier Flight and at the end of the three days of play; three winners from each category will be awarded.
Several side contests including Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt and the Most accurate drive will also be conducted side by side.
As sponsors continue to show unwavering support for the event, funds raised will be directed towards the noble cause of Community Outreach Programs, furthering AMH’s mission of promoting health education and providing essential medical services to the community
