Bapco to organise Walk and Talk event tomorrow

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) will organise in concert with the Bahrain Diabetes Society a “Walk & Talk” – Walkathon Event tomorrow at Awali. The event will be held under the patronage of the Bahrain Diabetes Society Chairman, Dr. Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. 

Commenting on the event, Bapco’s Public Relations Manager Ali Yacoob Al-Meftah said the walkathon event reflected Bapco’s leading role in fostering the wellness of its workforce, contractors and their families, and highlighting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for employees and the entire community. “The Wellbeing Project 2020 aims at promoting the health culture in Bapco in addition to providing Bapco’s employees and their families with all possible means of achieving the aspired health welfare,” he explained. 

“The event will have a noble goal for donating a sum of money to the Bahrain Diabetes Society to enable buying insulin pumps for diabetic children,” Al-Meftah informed. 

“The activity generally aims to enhance the health awareness among Bapco’s employees as well as members of the Bahraini community. It is a public invitation for all Bapco’s employees, their families and members of the community to attend this walkathon event,” he added. The event will be held under supervision Bapco’s Wellbeing Project team.
