Al Baraka Islamic Bank Welcomes Hussain Atiyah as Chief Corporate and Institutional Banking Officer

Al Baraka Islamic Bank, one of Bahrain's leading Islamic financial institutions, has appointed Mr. Hussain Yousif Atiyah as its Chief Corporate and Institutional Banking Officer. This appointment underscores the bank's commitment to nurturing national talent and building a robust leadership team to drive its growth and strategic objectives.

Mr. Hussain Atiyah brings nearly 20 years of international banking expertise, having held senior roles at top-tier financial institutions, including Citibank Bahrain, Standard Chartered Bank, and HSBC Bahrain. Notably, he served as Head of Commercial Banking Services at Citibank Bahrain for almost a decade, overseeing operations in both Bahrain and Jordan.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Adel Salem, Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, said, "We are delighted to welcome Mr. Hussain Atiyah to our executive management team. His extensive experience and proven leadership will be instrumental in driving the bank’s corporate and institutional banking strategies. Mr. Atiyah holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing from Ahlia University. He also possesses a Diploma in Business and Finance, complementing his extensive experience in shaping corporate banking strategies across international financial institutions.
