In the presence of the Her Excellency Ms. Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, Time Out Market Bahrain officially opened its doors to the public on Monday, December 2 in the heart of Manama.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Ms. Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, has affirmed that the attraction of Time Out Market to Bahrain is a testament to the burgeoning success of the island's culinary tourism sector. She explained that according to the quarterly economic report for the second quarter of 2024, the growth rate of accommodation and food activities reached 10.6% , reflecting the noticeable progress this vital sector is witnessing.
Her Excellency pointed out that this initiative represents a strategic step towards enhancing the Kingdom's stature as a leading global tourist destination, and underlining that this prominent project adds substantial value to the tourism sector by contributing to the creation of new job opportunities, and enriching the visitor experience by offering a diverse selection of high-quality local and international dishes.
Furthermore, Her Excellency highlighted that the Kingdom has become a prominent destination for renowned restaurants and projects in the food and beverage industry, with Time Out Market Bahrain serving as a vibrant and clear indication of the success and prosperity the Kingdom is experiencing in this vital area of tourism.
Time Out Market Bahrain features a curated line up of 14 local award-winning chefs, up-and-coming restaurateurs, and much-loved culinary gems. They all bring a diverse range of cuisines to the table reflecting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s cultural influence and array of international cuisines from Middle Eastern, Japanese, South American and Lebanese to casual options such as pizza and burgers.
