Over 100 students from various faculties participated in two panel discussions moderated by Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte, Delegate of the German Industry for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen. Panellists from Siemens, BASF, SAP, and RMA Technologies addressed key topics, including workforce integration, the application of artificial intelligence, recruitment processes, and the development of essential soft skills. Dr. Samra-Rohte described the symposium as a significant platform for fostering collaboration between academia and industry. “In a transforming world, connecting education with innovative technologies has become essential. The symposium was inaugurated by Professor Waheeb Al Khaja, Chairman of ASU’s Board of Trustees and a Board Member of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, alongside the German Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Clemens Hach. Both speakers emphasised the importance of international cooperation in aligning education with industry needs.

Women’s Day

Tribute Held in conjunction with Bahraini Women’s Day, the symposium also celebrated the contributions of women to the workforce. Panellists highlighted female empowerment initiatives and applauded the growing role of Bahraini women in various industries, reinforcing the commitment to gender inclusion and equality.
