Tender Board Opens Bids for Multiple Infrastructure and Public Service Projects

The Bahrain Tender Board has recently opened bids for a series of major projects across various sectors, reflecting the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to infrastructure development and public service enhancement.

Arad

One of the standout tenders involves a long-term lease for land in Arad, which will be developed into a multi-use project that includes a fuel station and commercial rental units. This project, backed by the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), received a sole bid of BD 4,400,000 from Ali and Mohammed Yateem Brothers.

In addition to the Arad development, another notable tender was for leasing property in the Qafol area, also owned by Edamah. The single bid received came from Zoom Real Estate and Advertising, amounting to BD 1,831,000.

Education

In the education sector, the Ministry of Education has opened a tender for the maintenance and repair of 25 central printing machines used for producing over 10 million copies annually for internal examinations. Canar Trading submitted the lowest bid of BD 46,000 for the project.

Infrastructure projects

Further infrastructure projects include the repaving and development of Road 2904 in Salmaniya. This project includes the installation of storm drainage, underground channels, improved lighting, and signage. Taylos Construction submitted the lowest bid of BD 446,000.

EWA

The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) is also progressing with various projects, opening four tenders for its central warehouses. These include the supply of electrical meters (lowest bid: BD 200,000), carbon dioxide for the Ras Abu Jarjur power plant (lowest bid: BD 22,000), water distribution valves (lowest bid: BD 40,000), and 150- and 200-watt lighting (lowest bid: BD 106,000).

Technology

In the field of technology, the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) opened a tender for the creation of a comprehensive register of all systems and applications. RMSI Bahrain submitted the lowest bid of BD 398,000 for the project.

Exhibition World

Another tender for security services at the Exhibition World Bahrain attracted nine bids. The lowest bid for the supply and installation of air conditioners at the Al Riffa Power Plant was approximately BD 148,000.

Gulf Air

Gulf Air also issued a tender for the modification of mechanical dampeners for exhaust and pressure fans, receiving a single bid of approximately BD 60,000.

Bapco

Lastly, Bapco opened a tender for repair services of underground tanks, with Bahrain Specialised Technical Services submitting the lowest bid of BD 25,626,000.

These tenders demonstrate Bahrain's continuous push towards improving its infrastructure, enhancing public services, and driving economic growth.
