Over BD100 Million in tenders launched for public projects

Bahrain's Tender Board has launched a significant round of tenders, marking a key investment in infrastructure, healthcare, and public services, with a combined value estimated at over BD 100 million. A total of 54 bids were submitted across 13 tenders from nine government entities.
The construction of the Hussain Ali Yateem Health Centre in Salman City, which received five bids, is set to advance Bahrain's healthcare services. The lowest bid for the project was BD 8,319,000. The Abu Subh Coastal Development Project also garnered significant interest, with ten bids submitted, the lowest being BD 57,000, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing Bahrain's coastline.
The government is also investing in community sports facilities, evidenced by five bids for the construction of a sports field in Al Aker, the lowest at BD 27,000. Gulf Air Group received a bid of BD 2,380,000 for cleaning high-rise buildings and facades at Bahrain International Airport, demonstrating attention to the airport's aesthetics and safety. Additionally, three companies competed for the air conditioning and mechanical equipment maintenance contract at the airport, with the lowest bid standing at BD 5,400,000.
Other key tenders included Tamkeen's marketing services tender (eight bids, lowest BD 2,875), Bahrain International Circuit's freight forwarding tender (one bid, BD 115,000), consultancy services for the Sakhir Sports City design (one bid, BD 105,000), and the construction and upgrade of Al Awali Hospital's Southeast Wing (Bapco tender, six bids, lowest BD 1,299,000).
Additional tenders focused on consultancy services for the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (seven bids, lowest BD 45,000), the Southern Governorate Municipality's agricultural workforce tender (one bid, BD 192,000), transportation services for government hospitals (three bids, lowest BD 418,000), and the beautification of the Crown Prince Roundabout (Ministry of Municipalities Affairs, three bids, lowest BD 310,000).
