Al Baraka Islamic Bank Concludes “Future Bankers” Program in Partnership with Ministry of Youth Affairs

Al Baraka Islamic Bank (AIB), a leading Islamic financial institution in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has successfully concluded its “Future Bankers” Program, a three-day training initiative designed to empower students with essential banking skills. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the program reflects a shared vision to nurture the next generation of financial professionals.
The closing ceremony, held at the bank’s headquarters, was attended by Her Excellency Ms. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs; Dr. Adel Abdulla Salem, CEO of Al Baraka Islamic Bank; and officials from both organizations. The event also welcomed the participating students, who were celebrated for their achievements.
In her remarks, Her Excellency the Minister commended the program participants for their dedication and highlighted the initiative as a model of successful collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Al Baraka Islamic Bank. “This program reflects our joint commitment to empowering youth and enhancing their capabilities, especially in the rapidly evolving financial and banking sectors,” she noted.
Her Excellency also praised Al Baraka Islamic Bank for its pivotal role in supporting the initiative through practical training and professional mentorship. She emphasized the importance of equipping young Bahrainis with the skills and expertise needed to thrive in the banking industry.
Dr. Adel Abdulla Salem, CEO of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, expressed pride in the program's success and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to youth development. “This program underscores our dedication to launching initiatives that enhance the skills of young individuals, enabling them to realize their full potential. Beyond banking services, our mission is to contribute to building a thriving community through meaningful collaborations with governmental entities,” he said.
Dr. Adel also highlighted the program’s broader impact, stating, “Supporting initiatives like the Future Bankers Program aligns with our strategic vision. The “Future Bankers” Program provided participants with an in-depth understanding of various banking operations, including personal banking services, digital innovations, and Islamic finance principles. Designed to be interactive and engaging, the initiative aimed to refine the practical and professional skills of youth while instilling ethical values and the principles of responsible Islamic banking.
