Al Baraka Islamic Bank concludes “Future Bankers” Youth Training Programme

Al Baraka Islamic Bank (AIB), a leading Islamic financial institution in the Kingdom of Bahrain,recently concluded its “Future Bankers” Programme, a three-day training initiative for students organised by the bank, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
The closing ceremony was held at the bank’s headquarters and attended by Ms. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, Dr Adel Abdulla Salem, CEO of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, and a group of officials from both parties and the participating students.
During the ceremony, the Minister commended the participants for their outstanding achievement, stating that the Program is a successful model of cooperation between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Al Baraka Islamic Bank, reflecting the joint commitment to achieving their shared objectives in empowering youth and enhancing their capabilities in various sectors, particularly in the financial and banking sectors, which are witnessing continuous development.
Ms. Tawfiqi praised the prominent role played by Al Baraka Islamic Bank in supporting this initiative by providing practical training and professional supervision to the youth, equipping them with the necessary skills and expertise in the banking field.
In addition, Dr Adel Abdulla Salem, CEO of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, expressed the bank’s pride in being part of a distinguished partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs in organising this exceptional programme, which underscores the bank’s interest in launching initiatives and programs that enhance the skills of the youth and enable them to realise their full potential.
Dr. Adel restated the bank’s role in offering more than just banking services to its customers, noting to its contribution to the development of a thriving community, and its continuous pursuit of collaboration with governmental entities to create a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of the youth in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“Our commitment to supporting Programs aimed at developing the capacity of the youth is part of our strategic vision, as we believe that investing in the future generation is investing in the future of the nation. We wish all the participants success in their academic and professional lives, and we hope that this experience will be the starting point for their future achievements,” the CEO added.
It is worth noting that the ‘Future Bankers’ Programme offers a comprehensive overview of various banking operations, starting with personal banking services and extending to digital innovations and Islamic finance principles, in interactive and enjoyable ways that enable participants to learn financial concepts in an innovative and hands-on manner, refining the practical and professional skills of the participating youth, enhance ethical values, install the principles of responsible banking, and focus on Islamic finance and its principles and values.”
