The latest development builds on a codeshare agreement established between the two airlines in 2022. The expansion of their collaboration now provides frequent flyers with increased opportunities to accumulate miles, enjoy greater travel flexibility, and access an array of rewards.
The agreement was officially signed on the sidelines of Aviation Festival Asia 2025 by Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Skywards, and Rahmaniar, Miles & Ancillary Group Head at Garuda Indonesia.
Enhanced Travel and Reward BenefitsAdnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the benefits of the partnership, stating: “At Emirates Skywards, we are continually looking for ways to enhance our members’ experiences by offering greater value, choice, and opportunities. Our collaboration with Garuda Indonesia will unlock significant advantages for both Skywards and GarudaMiles members.”

Garuda Indonesia’s President & CEO, Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, echoed similar sentiments, stating: “We are thrilled to introduce this enhanced loyalty programme, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional value to our passengers. This initiative provides both GarudaMiles and Skywards members with seamless opportunities to earn and redeem miles, ultimately expanding travel possibilities for our loyal customers.”
Panjaitan also noted that Skywards members now have greater access to Indonesia’s rich cultural and natural attractions via Garuda Indonesia’s domestic routes, while GarudaMiles members can explore a broader range of international destinations through Emirates’ extensive global network.
A Commitment to Enhancing the Passenger ExperienceWith a shared vision of connecting travelers worldwide, Emirates and Garuda Indonesia are confident that this collaboration will elevate the travel experience by offering more convenience, rewards, and innovative services. The airlines look forward to welcoming frequent flyers to take advantage of this expanded loyalty programme and enjoy the many benefits it brings.
