Tamkeen backs Bahraini fashion designers

Thirty Bahraini fashion designers joined the integrated fashion design training program, launched by the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” in partnership with +973 Artisanat Creative Entrepreneurs Incubator and delivered by French Fashion Institute ESMOD Dubai.
The program’s progress was reviewed during a recent meeting between Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen”, and Dr. Shaikha May Bint Sulaiman Mohamed AlOtaibi, Founder of +973 Artisanat Creative Entrepreneurs Incubator, and the training program participants.
The meeting was an opportunity to review the program’s progress and hear directly from the designers about their experience. The program has received significant praise from the participants, who expressed the depth of their benefit from its first phase and their anticipation for the upcoming phase, which will focus on developing their own brands and launching their businesses in the market. This initiative is part of Tamkeen’s continuous support for the Creative Industries sector, with fashion being one of the rapidly growing fields within the sector.
The program provides Bahraini fashion designers with a comprehensive 19-month training program that includes a series of workshops focused on skill building and brand management, followed by mentorship for the top 15 candidates to enhance their concepts and support them in launching them in the market.
The program provides comprehensive fashion design training focused on the skills required to excel in the field such as fashion design, pattern making, fashion marketing, and more, and will cater to designers at various professional stages.
Dr. Shaikha May Bint Sulaiman Mohamed AlOtaibi, Founder of +973 Artisanat Creative Entrepreneurs Incubator praised the Bahraini designers participating in the program and the exceptional level of work they have demonstrated so far.

The French Fashion Institute ESMOD Dubai is a prominent fashion design school located in various fashion capitals around the world such as Paris, Tokyo, and Dubai. It is part of the ESMOD International Fashion Schools network, which is known globally for its excellence in fashion education, as it trained thousands of designers over the past 184 years.
