Emirates Expands Boeing 777 Upgrades to Eight More Destinations

Dubai-based airline Emirates is set to enhance its services with upgraded Boeing 777 cabins across eight additional destinations, as part of its ambitious fleet retrofit program. With an aircraft receiving a comprehensive refurbishment every three weeks, Emirates aims to serve 44 cities with its newly refurbished Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft by September 2025.
New Destinations for Upgraded Boeing 777
From June 1, 2025, passengers on select routes will experience the airline’s latest cabin enhancements:
Lisbon: All Emirates flights to and from Lisbon, including EK 191/192 and EK 193/194, will feature upgraded Boeing 777 cabins.
Dublin: Starting June 25, flights EK 161/162 will debut Emirates’ latest Business and Premium Economy cabins.
Hong Kong: The special administrative region will become the second Chinese destination served by the retrofitted Boeing 777 on flights EK 382/383 from July 15.
Maldives: Enhanced onboard experiences will be available on flights EK 658/659 from June 1, as well as EK 656/657 and EK 660/661 from July 15.
Kolkata: The newly refreshed Boeing 777 will operate four weekly flights (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) on EK 572/573 from August 10.
Colombo: Daily flights EK 650/651 will feature the upgraded aircraft from August 10, complementing Emirates’ new Airbus A350 operations to Sri Lanka’s capital.
South Africa: Emirates is introducing Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class cabins for the first time in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Johannesburg will receive the enhanced Boeing 777 on daily flights EK 765/766 from September 1, and EK 761/762 from September 25. Cape Town will welcome the upgraded aircraft on daily flights EK 770/771 from September 20.
London Stansted: A second daily service with the refreshed Boeing 777 interiors will be added on EK 067/068 from June 1.

Emirates has expanded its Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 refurbishment program to more than 220 aircraft, marking one of the most extensive retrofit projects in aviation history. The airline is investing $5 billion to enhance its fleet and elevate customer experiences globally.
The refurbished Boeing 777 features a four-class configuration, including Emirates' signature Premium Economy and redesigned Business Class cabins. The Business Class seats, arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, offer privacy, direct aisle access, and ample space for work or relaxation. The aircraft also includes 24 Premium Economy seats and 260 Economy Class seats, ensuring a superior travel experience across all classes.
With its fleet enhancement program progressing rapidly, Emirates continues to set new benchmarks in inflight luxury and comfort for travelers worldwide.
