Renowned Bahrain-based entrepreneur Dr. B. Ravi Pillai, Chairman of the RP Group and one of the Gulf region’s most influential expatriate businessmen, has made headlines with the acquisition of a state-of-the-art Gulfstream G600 private jet — a bold statement in luxury aviation.

The high-end aircraft, valued at approximately ₹650 crore, is scheduled to arrive in Kochi on April 14. It marks a significant milestone in Dr. Pillai’s expansive business journey, adding a personal luxury aircraft to his list of achievements.

About the G600 Jet

Manufactured by the American aviation giant Gulfstream, the G600 is known for its cutting-edge technology and exceptional comfort. Registered under the name T7-Ravi, the jet is equipped to seat 13 passengers comfortably, with the flexibility to accommodate up to 19.

The aircraft boasts a flight range of 12,223 kilometers on a single trip, enabling non-stop international travel. Operating at altitudes of up to 51,000 feet, the G600 requires a 5,700-foot runway for takeoff and a 3,100-foot runway for landing — highlighting its superior aeronautical design.

Dr. Pillai's maiden journey on the jet will be from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram, symbolizing both a personal and professional milestone.
