F1 to boost Bahrain’s economy: Al Hawaj
The on going Formula One sporting event will act as a major stimulus to Bahrain’s economy backed by the purchasing power of visitors flocking to Bahrain for the mega event, said BCCI second Vice Chairman.
Jawad Al Hawaj, who is also the head of BCCI Trade and Retail sector committee said, “The race attracts a huge number of tourists from around the world, and thus brings about additional purchasing power and enhance the demand for goods and services”.
The enhancement in business activities will be not only favour tourism sector, but can also be seen in many other sectors including trade and retail, he added.
“We urge the trade and retail sector to prepare themselves for this event and conduct promotion campaigns to attract customers and enhance their stock turnover levels and profitability”.
Al Hawaj thanked the organizing committee and called all community members to seize this opportunity to mirror the true picture of Bahrain.
