Trade committee holds 3rd open meeting
Manama : The Trade and Retail Sector Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its third open meeting yesterday in Al Majlis Hall of Bait Al Tijjar.
The meeting witnessed wide participation from business owners, who shared their concerns and deliberated about the main hurdles including illegal workers, impact of workers movement, and lengthy procedures for establishing new companies.
Mohammed Al Ahmadi Counsellor at the Domestic Trade Affairs of the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism, Ali Al Kooheji Vice President of Operations and Ashraf Emam Director of Customer Service of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) participated in the meeting.
Concluding the event, Vice head of the Trade and Retail committee Dr. Akbar Jaffari thanked the representatives of the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority for participating in the meeting and addressing the participants’ concerns. He also thanked all the participants for enriching the event with their inputs and proposals.
