Fast and favourite

Manama : The favourite Proposed owned by Ramadan Stable, trained by Jaber Al Ramadhan and ridden by Andrew Elliott won the eighth and final race for the Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup for imported three years and upwards over 200 metres and worth BD3,000 by three and a half lengths in the 17th meeting of the season yesterday at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.

Second place went to outsider Van Schaick owned by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, owned by Abdulla Kuwaiti and ridden by Graham Lee, while a further three lengths behind in third was Jumeirah Glory owned by Al Afoo Racing, trained by Bader Al Abed and ridden by Hassan Al Saffar.

Fourth, a further two lengths behind was Spacelab owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Brett Doyle.
