Gulf Air renews safety IATA audit registration
Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier yesterday announced the successful completion of the internationally recognized, biennial IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) – keeping the airline on the IOSA registry until May 2017. Gulf Air Chief Operations Officer, Captain Nasser Al Salmi spoke of the achievement: “We approached this audit with two specific goals: to meet all of IATA’s rigorous safety requirements to maintain IOSA registration and to evaluate our operational safety standards. With a successful audit we are confident our operations are in-line with strict international safety requirements.”
