Carrefour rebrands Retail Arabia stores
Majid Al Futtaim Retail, the exclusive franchisee of the Carrefour brand in 38 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, completed the rebranding of all Geant and Gulf Mart stores to Carrefour, following the acquisition of Retail Arabia in 2017. The acquisition of Retail Arabia has substantially increased Carrefour’s footprint in Bahrain and helped position the retailer as one of the largest hypermarket chains in the country.
With a recent store opening in Al Juffair, Carrefour Bahrain now operates 12 stores, comprising of five hypermarkets and seven supermarkets, serving over 27,000 customers daily. Jerome Akel, Country Manager of Carrefour Bahrain at Majid Al Futtaim Retail commented: “The completion of this rebranding marks an important milestone of our growth story here in Bahrain, as we cater to a growing customer base nationwide.
