Bahrain’s trade relations get a big boost at World Travel Market
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is taking part in the World Travel Market (WTM) in the United Kingdom, as part of its efforts to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain in the international market. Headed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s pavilion at the expo houses representatives from the Bahrain Economic Development Board, the national carrier Gulf Air, as well as a number of Bahrain leading hotels, and travel agents.
The show, Gulf Air said, provides a unique opportunity for global travel trade industry to meet, network, negotiate, and conduct business. The exhibition is an annual global event attended by key international players and professionals in the travel industry.
“Being here will enable us to continue to build upon our trade relationships and raise awareness of the Kingdom’s profile in the UK market; which includes our continuous marketing efforts through representative offices, offering charter flight programmes, and promoting new beachfront developments,” said the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa.
This year at WTM, Bahrain continues to showcase its rich cultural heritage and vibrant tourism landscape, especially with 28 new properties set to open by 2021. At its stand this year, Bahrain will be hosting Vincenzo Nibali, world-class race rider for the UCI World Team Bahrain–Merida who will be promoting the upcoming Bahrain Ironman in December 2018. The expo which began on Monday ends today.
