Ithmaar Bank offers prizes totalling US$4.4 million

Ithmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, enhanced its Thimaar savings account, offering its Thimaar account holders 3,206 prizes. The bank said it has also increased the total prize purse to US$4,400,000, including two grand prizes of US$1 million each. “Ithmaar Bank is committed to becoming the Islamic retail bank of choice,” said Ithmaar Bank Assistant General Manager, Head of Retail Banking, Mohammed Janahi.

“In line with the Bank’s customer-centric commitment to delivering a superior banking service, we work hard to improve the Thimaar savings account as part of the Bank’s commitment to listening closely to its customers’ requirements and actively responding to their feedback,” he said. “We noticed growing demand for large cash prizes, and we enhanced Thimaar accordingly with two lucky customers having the chance to become the first Thimaar millionaires,” said Janahi.

“This year, we are also delighted to offer 1,212 loyal Thimaar account holders who have not won a prize in the past two years a chance to win special prizes out of a total prize purse of US$660,000,” he said. In 2019, Thimaar account also offers monthly prizes totalling US$1,764,000, and junior prizes totalling US$384,000. Every BD30 maintained as an average balance qualifies a customer to enter the monthly draws. The more customers save, and the longer they maintain balances in multiples of BD30, the more opportunities they have to win.
