Bahrain Bourse participates in Financial Sector Conference
Bahrain Bourse announced its participation in the first edition of the Financial Sector Conference, which is part of the Financial Sector Development Program (a program of Saudi Vision 2030).
The conference was held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on April 24-25, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and was attended by key decision makers and executives representing the financial sector locally, regionally, and internationally.
CEO of Bahrain Bourse, Shaikh Khalifa Ebrahim Al Khalifa, participated in the panel discussion titled: “MENA Calling: Raising the Bar for the Financial Sector in the Region”. The panel discussion hosted senior decision-makers from various organizations including Jadwa Investments, Riyad Bank, Hermes Holding, Saudi British Bank (SABB), and Emirates NBD. On this occasion, Shaikh Khalifa said, “We are pleased to take part in the Financial Sector Conference to highlight the importance of supporting the private sector and its role in developing the financial market, sharing our experience as one of the key institutions in the capital market of the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
The conference aims to enhance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s financial sector within Saudi Vision 2030 programs, especially the initiatives of Financial Sector Development Program, in accordance with its three pillars: enabling financial institutions to support the private sector’s growth, developing an advanced financial market, and enabling the financial planning in all segments of the society. The conference hosted more than 80 speakers, 21-panel discussions, and more than 2000 attendees.
