Gulf Union launches online motor & travel insurance

Gulf Union Insurance & Reinsurance Co (GUIRCO), one of the largest Motor Insurer in Bahrain, announced going online for offering new and renewal of Motor and Travel Insurance through www.gulfunion. com.bh. The policies were launched in Gulf Union Head Office by Vineet Kumar CEO in presence of Dy. GM Roy Samuels and the IT, Motor & Travel Team. Soft copies of the policy clauses and Virtual Motor E-Card can be downloaded on mobile, while payment can be made via Visa and MasterCard Credit / Debit cards.

Gulf Union has also entered into an arrangement with travel insurance service provider, Mapfre Asistencia, to provide 24X7 Customer service support at worldwide destinations. For a 7-day trip, travellers can take policy online for premium as less as BD5.5 for 26 Schengen Countries and BD10 to BD12 for non-USA or USA trip.

Premium depends on the plan chosen, the number of members travelling and the number of days of travel and travel destinations. Travel policies can be downloaded instantly and can be taken at least one day before the travel date. The online policy will cater to sudden requirements of Bahraini travellers for medical & emergency assistance, loss of passport, 24X7 personal assistance, personal accident, personal liability risk and assistance in the unfortunate event of hijacking on trips abroad.
