Grooming Bahrain’s future leaders
A top Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) official has assured his support to all efforts that back the development of Bahraini employees. “Future leaders must prepare themselves to deal with the rapid developments in the sector including the introduction of financial technology in banking operations,” said Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, the CBB Governor.
Al Maraj was receiving employees, preparing for the final stages of an Executive Capacity Building Programme organised by Al Salam Bank and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), at CBB. Al Salam Bank Group CEO Rafik Nayed, BIBF Director Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh and other CBB and Al Salam Bank officials were present. The customized one-year course is designed to prepare high-calibre executives to take on leadership positions within Al Salam Bank.
Participants are set to travel to London next week for the final part of the programme, which includes industry visits and lectures at CASS Business School. This will be followed by six months of coaching sessions with executive coaches from global accounting and consulting firm, Grant Thornton. The programme will assist Al Salam Bank to identify potential candidates for key leadership positions and provide them with development opportunities. Rafik Nayed said: “We are working to create a dynamic, future-ready talent pool which can make significant contributions to the financial sector and the economy as a whole.”
