Bahraini doctor wins NBB’s million dollar, 5yr monthly salary

National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) yesterday named Dr Ameera Ali Radhi as the winner of its US$1 million in cash and a five-year monthly salary of US$5,000 of mid-year “Al Watani Savings Scheme” prize. The June prize is one of the largest prizes offered in Bahrain.

Dr Ameera Ali Radhi was invited to a special celebration at NBB’s Seef Mall Branch alongside NBB management and local media, to mark the win. Dr Ameera Ali Radhi commented: “Firstly, I thank the National Bank of Bahrain for this wonderful surprise. I have been dealing with the bank for a long time, but I did not expect the news because the arrangements agreed upon were far away from the theme of the award.”

“I do not have any plan for the amount received at the moment but will use it partly for personal purposes and the service of society.” Commenting, Subah Al Zayani, Head of Retail Banking at NBB, said, “This year’s Grand Prize has been newly introduced in 2019 as part of Al Watani Saving Scheme to continue rewarding our customers for their loyalty and trust in NBB.”

During July, August, October and November, Al Watani will be offering monthly prizes to four winners worth of $25,000 each. In September, one lucky winner will receive $250,000 in cash. NBB’s Dream Prize planned for the year-end, is soon to be revealed and is promising to be the largest in NBB’s history.
