Gulf Air, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines sign codeshare deal
Gulf Air and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines signed a codeshare partnership, for travel commencing from 27 October 2019. The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two airlines. Gulf Air will place ‘GF’ code on KLM flights from Bahrain to Amsterdam and flights from Amsterdam to Frankfurt.
The agreement will see KLM place its ‘KL’ code on Gulf Air flights from Bahrain to Sialkot, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar. Vincent Coste, Gulf Air’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “With this important commercial agreement, we are offering our passengers a connection to Amsterdam using a Gulf Air ticket”.
Bruce Dönszelmann, Vice President Alliances KLM said the partnership would strengthen its Network in the Middle East, which is a strong market for both business and leisure customers.
