Information Security focus of BBBF’s ICT meeting

The Information Communications & Technology (ICT) Special Interest Group of the British Bahrain Business Forum (BBBF) in collaboration with Sysprove Consulting and David Lynas Consulting hosted a meeting for ICT professionals yesterday at the Capital Club.

The meeting provided insights on how to transform a traditional information security function to meet the needs of the modern enterprise, and how information security governance and enterprise security architecture can lead the transformation of information security to deliver demonstrable value to businesses.

The meeting was opened by Ravi Jayasundera, Head of the BBBF ICT Special Interest Group and CEO of Sysprove Consulting. Keynote presentation was delivered by John Czaplewski who is a senior SABSA Consultant and trainer, a Director at David Lynas Consulting, a UK based enterprise security architecture consultancy, and a trustee of the SASBSA Institute, the UK based Community of Interest non-profit organization.

Czaplewski said: “Information security has become vital for all organisations, both governmental and private. Most organisations focus on information security from a technical perspective, but an enterprise security architecture approach can transform the information security programme into a centre of excellence that is business-driven and strategy-aligned”.
