CBB Governor gets top award
Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Al Maraj was conferred with a Lifetime Achievement Award at The Banker Middle East Industry Awards.
The award recognises the outstanding efforts of Al Maraj, who was appointed as Governor in 2005, in shaping the financial and banking sector of Kingdom and the region.
Under his leadership, the CBB continued to develop the regulatory environment for the financial and banking sector and undertook major initiatives in conventional and Islamic banking, insurance, payment systems and financial technology (Fintech).
The Banker Middle East Industry Awards are organised by CPI Financial to recognise and honour the institutions and individuals that are driving the Middle East’s banking and financial industry forward.
