BHB holds Bahrain Investment Market Workshop

Bahrain Bourse (BHB) held an awareness workshop for the Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship (BAE) award winners to showcase the opportunities available for scale-ups seeking growth capital to list on the Bahrain Investment Market (BIM).

This came as part of BHB’s participation and support of the 4th edition of the Bahrain’s Award for Entrepreneurship that was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Economic Development Board and organized by Bahrain’s Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

The winners of the seven categories were congratulated by BHB CEO Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa.

They were introduced to the Bahrain Investment Market, an innovative equity market designed specifically to offer fast-growing companies an alternative cost and time-effective means for raising capital.  The workshop highlighted the benefits of listing on the BIM and outlined the process of listing and registration.

“Through the Bahrain Investment Market Workshop, we aim to present a unique opportunity of capital growth for the award winners and support potential scale-ups to further explore listing on the Bahrain Investment Market,” BHB CEO said.

The seven categories winners which included: Doctori Online Services founded by Ahmed Abdulhameed Alawadhi and Ahmed Wafeeq Mahmood winners of Micro-Enterprise of the Year, Shepherd Design Studio Co WLL founded by Rashed AlAraifi, Ahmed AlMannai and Abdulla Binhindi winners of Start-Up of the Year, LalaBella Events founded by Nahla Almahmood winner of SME of the Year, Kalaam Telecom Bahrain B.S.C founded by Nezar Al Saie winner of Enterprise of the Year with International Footprint, All Food for Food Stuff founded by Mohamed Abdulaal winner of Sustainability in Business Award, Clever Play founded by Sh. Latifa Mohammed Al-Khalifa winner of Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and VillaMamas founded by Roaya Saleh winner of Global Enterprise of the Year.
