Ebdaa Bank implements ‘Work Remotely’ system

Ebdaa bank for Microfinancing – Bahrain, yesterday announced implementing a “Work Remotely” system for its administrative employees and a flexible work system, shortening the working hours of customer service employees by half, and other measures in line with the national directives aimed at tackling coronavirus in Bahrain.
As part, women employees will receive additional benefits related to work remotely or flexible work. Decisions, Ebdaa said, were made considering the condition of each employee, including her family status and family obligations. Commenting, CEO of Ebdaa Bank, Dr Khaled Al-Ghazzawi, said the moves were in line the directives of Chairman, Mona Yousuf Khalil Almoayyed.
The bank’s priority is to maintain the “safety of employees and their families while ensuring the workflow in the bank,” said Al Ghazzawi. He added: “The bank granted special benefits to the employed woman to fulfil her family obligations, especially with many having to take care of their children who are currently committed to staying at home during this exceptional stage while providing them with necessary mechanisms to be able to work from home to ensure that the daily work of the bank is not affected.”
Ebdaa Bank further said that its flexible work experience policy was already in place for its employees with special needs.
