BDB holds Think Pink awareness campaign

Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) Group hosted Think Pink virtual Breast Cancer Awareness Session exclusively designed for their employees and female entrepreneurs. October is marked as Breast Cancer awareness month in countries around the world. BDB organised this session to remind the community to Think Pink and learn more about the leading causes of cancer among women worldwide.

The session was presented by Gulf Medical and Diabetes Center senior consultant surgeon Dr Abdulwahab M Abdulwahab. “Eradicating this disease is a long way ahead therefore it is vital to increase awareness and help with understanding all the risk factors, prevention methods, and treatment modalities to achieve survivorship,” the bank said in a statement. BDB distributed pink ribbon pins to all employees purchased from Think Pink Bahrain Breast Cancer Society, to spread awareness about the disease throughout the country.

BDB CEO Sanjeev Paul said that BDB has always strived to promote health awareness and with numerous women entrepreneurs as customers and around 50 per cent of our staff being women, hosting this session during this month was timely and very well received.
