Diyar Al Muharraq announces developments to the city’s entrance junction

Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in Bahrain, has announced the commencement of works on the city’s entrance junction. As part of its plan to improve accessibility to residents and visitors alike within the city, works on traffic signals are set to take place allowing quicker and easier access to key parts of the integrated city.

Diyar Al Muharraq has started the reconfiguration works at the beginning of December 2020, for an estimated duration of 9 months. Eastern Asphalt and Mixed Concrete Company W.L.L. were appointed to build the junction over 5 phases, which are expected to be completed by 3rd quarter of 2021 while ensuring smooth traffic movement throughout this period.

Commenting on the development, Eng. Ahmed Ali Alammadi, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, said, “It is our pleasure to announce the commencement of the junction reconfiguration of Diyar Al Muharraq which aims to provide residents and visitors with facilitated access and ease of movement to major facilities surrounding the main entrance. This step coincides with the readiness of a number of key residential, commercial and touristic attractions in the city, which will increase the influx of visitors to the city overall. As such, we look forward to completing this vital conjunction soon to provide more convenience to residents and guests of Diyar Al Muharraq.”

Upon completion, the reconfigured of the junction will serve to better facilitate the flow of traffic by easing the movement of vehicles to the major points of interest in the vicinity of the main entrance.

This includes providing easy entrance and exit to and from the Diyar Al Muharraq Sales Center the Marassi Galleria, the future Address Marassi Al Bahrain and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain Hotels, Souq Al Baraha, as well as planned projects in the pipeline such as the new Diyar Marina.
