Bapco holds board meeting

Bapco’s Chairman & Chief Executive, Dr Dawood Nassif presided over the Bapco Board Meeting on Wednesday.
The board reviewed the company performance during 2020, and the strategies and measures adopted to ensure success in the face of extraordinary challenges posed by Covid-19.
Priority had been given to health and safety of personnel, reliability of operations and the momentum for Bapco Modernization Programme (BMP).
Several process improvements, organisational preparations for BMP and cost optimisation initiatives were accomplished during the year, Bapco said.
The board was briefed on the progress of transformational initiatives in finance and HR and plans and programmes for employee development.
The meeting was followed by a tour to the BMP site to view the progress achieved by the project.
The board expressed its appreciation to management and employees for their dedication and hard work during 2020 and looked forward to the similar focus and achievements in 2021.
