The Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) announced a partnership with Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (gig-Bahrain), as it joins the corporate sponsorship project within the BIBF new iconic building at Bahrain Bay.

The agreement will see a study hall named after gig-Bahrain at BIBF’s new state-of-the-art building, with an expected inauguration later this year. The study hall will serve the training needs of the financial sector in Bahrain and beyond.

gig-Bahrain is a subsidiary of Gulf Insurance Group (GIG), which is the largest insurance Group in Kuwait.

“This partnership will increase brand awareness and reinforce the positioning of gig-Bahrain as a partner of the BIBF.”

BIBF thanked BKIC for becoming the first insurance company to support such an initiative, which would help build awareness for the local insurance market.

Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company, Dr Abdulla Sultan, said, “This sponsorship is a testament of GIG’s leadership in the Insurance market in the MENA region, not only in terms of size but also in terms of the contribution to the intellectual development of the industry at large.”

Dr Sultan also said they have several other partnerships with the BIBF, which will be announced shortly.

BIBF Director, Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh, said, “This partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship and branding to a deeper level of holistic brand/business integration and partnership.”

BIBF said the multi-storey building would contribute to Bahrain’s skyline as an iconic symbol of modern architecture, providing safe and convenient facilities to support the learning process, and improve educational tourism in Bahrain.

Construction on the new building commenced earlier last year with a total structural area of 25,000 square meters that stands as a luxury waterfront development.
