Batelco, in collaboration with Elear, announced launching ‘Smart Property’, an IoT based home automation product that benefits property owners, facility managers, and tenants. Batelco is the first company in the GCC region to launch this innovative product which is designed to enable property owners to efficiently manage their properties, reduce costs and maximise revenues, through smart and intelligent solutions.

The ‘Smart Property’ product, a 360-degree smart living solution that features three main elements; Home Automation, Property Management and Smart Energy, is designed for a contemporary lifestyle, as it completely automates a property, making it more appealing to tenants. Home Automation allows users to operate and control functions such as lighting and air conditioning, remotely or through enabling timer-based operation of equipment and devices, through an app.

If any equipment fault occurs, tenants can use the Property Management feature, which is a digital communication channel enabling direct contact between the tenant and property manager, helping to facilitate quick resolutions for any maintenance issues.

The Property Management App allows scheduling of maintenance visits and access to data regarding the previous maintenance history of the equipment.

The Smart Energy feature also plays an important role by helping to monitor and control energy usage leading to cost savings, and in initial tests carried out using AI analytics, energy savings of around 20% have been recorded. Elear Solutions CEO, Ashish Bajaj, said: “We are very excited to partner with Batelco as our lead customer in the GCC region.”

Batelco General Manager Enterprise, Abderrahmane Mounir, said: “The introduction of Smart Property is in line with Batelco’s strategy to move beyond its core business into non-telecom adjacent businesses, as part of its provisioning of digital solutions, in line with Bahrain’s 2030 vision of a digitized economy.”
