Bahrain Flour Mills names new CCO

Bahrain Flour Mills Company (Al-Matahin) has named Ali Shawki Fakhro as its Chief Commercial Officer.

In his new role, Fakhro will be central to driving business growth and leading the commercialisation efforts of Al-Matahin.

Commenting on the appointment, Al-Matahin’s CEO Henry Craig said, “Ali’s recruitment is in line with the company’s strategy to attract and appoint senior Bahrainis to key management positions and place a strong focus on the commercial activities of the company.”

Fakhro comes with over 20 years of work experience in business development and heading commercial operations.

Before joining Al-Matahin, Fakhro was the Deputy Chief Executive at Mohammed Fakhroo & Bros., where he demonstrated a solid track record in business development, strategic planning, performance management, process redesign and cross-functional leadership.

He was also the Managing Director of Flat6Labs Bahrain (a regional business incubator) and spent several years with Ernst & Young Bahrain.
