BCCI ICT committee hold roundtable meeting

The ICT committee of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) recently held its “Second ICT Business Roundtable” at the Chamber’s premises. The meeting, which gathered the ICT sector with relevant bodies including Central Informatics Organization, Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, E-Government Authority, and ICT Specific Council deliberated about current issues concerning the sector and means of streamlining the sector’s progress. Key issues of discussion included the updates regarding the implementation of unified roaming rates, means of preventing counterfeit devices from entering the market, matching academic programs to market needs, the insufficiency of available information, and means of enhancing communication between the sector and relevant bodies.
Concluding the meeting, board member and committee head Ahmed bin Hindi thanked all participants to the meeting and vowed that the committee will save no efforts to invigorate the sector in cooperation with all relevant organizations.
