Arab Financial Services (AFS), a leading digital payment solutions provider and Fintech enabler in the Middle East and Africa, and PaySky Solutions (PaySky) a disruptive digital payments ecosystem builder, have signed a major partnership agreement to deliver Bahrain’s first full payments acceptance solution to businesses via an app: AFS Pay, which transforms merchant smartphones into payment terminals. The AFS Pay app will serve to empower AFS’s network of merchants with the virtual point of sale POS terminals.

The app enables businesses to seamlessly and cost-effectively accept electronic payments, online and in-person (via any Android mobile phone or tablet), eliminating the need to invest in a physical device.

In addition to scanning a credit card in-store (Tap and Pay), AFS Pay allows remote payments for home deliveries by generating payment links that can be shared via social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, SMS and email. Merchants also benefit from full visibility on transactions through an easy to use and easy to navigate app dashboard interface.

“The launch of AFS Pay brings us one step closer to realising our vision of full digitisation of payment services, an agenda that AFS is endorsing and promoting across the MENA region,” said Samer Soliman, CEO of AFS.

“We are proud of our partnership with AFS, our collaboration will enable AFS and its customers to harness the power of digital payment solutions, realizing our commonly sought goals of financial inclusion & digital transformation,” said Waleed Sadek, Founder & CEO of PaySky Payment Solutions.

Regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain, AFS boasts numerous ground-breaking, end to-end payment services and solutions. These span card processing, Merchant Acquiring, Fintech and a state-of-the-art, value-added services suite.
